Jina earned a Master of Social Work Degree; Clinical Concentration from San Diego State University and she is registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker. She also holds a state credential in Pupil Personnel Services.

Jina’s bicultural and diverse background combined with higher education transformed her into a creative, compassionate, well-rounded, and versatile clinician who is highly sensitive to the needs of those who are experiencing life challenges. She is committed to providing excellent care and meeting you exactly where you are from joy to sorrow.

Jina has worked with teens and their families, adults, and marginalized groups (e.g., low income, migrants, single parents, caregivers, displaced homemakers, LGBTQ+, foster youth) in educational and community-based settings.

Jina has provided therapy services on issues related to acculturation/assimilation, depression/anxiety, stress/anger management, complex trauma, suicide ideation, non-suicidal self-induced injuries, low self-esteem/body image, grief & loss, adjustment disorders, and educational learning disabilities and accommodations. She is also a Spanish speaking bilingual clinician.

In her clinical practice, Jina uses a blend of holistic approaches (e.g., mindfulness, self-compassion, health, and fitness), strengths, and evidenced-based models and strategies to help individuals achieve their highest potential. She strongly believes that individuals have the capability within to live a meaningful journey and that she is an additional tool in the client’s toolbox to assist them in this process. Jina strives to create an equal partnership through a collaborative process based on persistence, compassion, self-awareness, humility, and knowledge.

In her leisure time, Jina enjoys spending quality time with her teenage son in nature or eating out at local venues.
